Cameron's 1st trip to Virginia!

Cameron's 1st trip to Virginia was great! She got to visit both sides of her family and was an incredible travel partner! I was very proud of her. Enjoy the pictures of our girl (3 1/2 months)Someone found their thumb!

Cameron is growing so fast and changing so much each day. She is (double cheer for this one YAY YAY) sleeping through the night, grabbing on to toys, refusing to be swaddled, loving her hands and feet, and talking and giggling. She is such a good baby and Bruce and I feel incredibly blessed. Cameron and I will be traveling to Virginia to visit her Grandmas this week and I'm sure there will be a lot of pictures to share! Here are some pictures of her (beginning at most recent). I promise I will try to get better at keeping this updated!

H-O-K-I-E-S HOKIES!

We decided it's never too early to start raising Cameron as a little Hokie! We think maroon and orange are great colors on her! (:

Pool Day!

We had our first pool day of the summer last week. We went to our neighboorhood pool and had the whole pool to ourselves. Cameron took a little nap when we first arrived which gave Bruce and Stacy a little time to enjoy a beverage by the pool and when Cameron woke up we tested the water. The water ended up being pretty chilly and Cameron (who loves the bath) did not appreciate her little toes being dipped in the cold water. She really enjoyed sitting on the side of the pool with Stacy and we will try again when the water gets a little warmer!

2 Month Check Up and Easter

Cameron had her two month check up on April 25th and she is doing wonderfully. She is 10.5 pounds now and 22 inches long. She is a "skinny minny"! She also had her first round of shots (which was very hard for Mom), but she did a great job. She is growing so fast and her facial expressions are great! She is smiling and "talking" all the time now. She has a lot to say and we love to listen! We can't believe how much she has changed in such a short time and we are loving every minute with her. We are so blessed.

Two Months Old

As you can see -- she loves to wiggle and move her arms and legs!

The Easter Bunny didn't make it to our house this year, because we don't have teeth to eat jelly beans and we can't walk or crawl to find eggs, but that didn't stop us from celebrating with a little bunny fun! We couldn't have asked for a cuter bunny at our house! We hope everyone had a wonderful and blessed Easter Sunday!

A Whole New World!

We know that many of you have been waiting for this day for a LONG time (well, at least 8 weeks!) --the day we finally updated the blog! So, lets start at the beginning and catch you up!

The Hospital: Our schedule induction date was February 24th which allowed us to board Toby at "daycare" and become as mentally prepared as possible for our hospital stay. On the morning of the 24th Stacy began feeling contractions at 4 a.m. The contractions continued until we reached the hospital at 6 a.m. and when Stacy was checked at 7 she was already dilated to 4 cm. So, even though we were going to be induced Miss Cameron decided she was coming on the 24th! By 2 p.m. Stacy was fully dilated and ready to push. Unfortunately, after 2 hours of pushing and no progress it was decided that Cameron could not make it past Stacy's pelvic bone and an emergency C-section was necessary. By 5:22 we had a beautiful and healthy baby girl with a head full of blonde hair and big blue eyes. She weighed 8 lbs 14 oz and was 21 inches long.

The Visits: Cameron has had a lot of visitors so far! She is definitely loved by so many people and we feel very blessed to have such supportive friends and family. Thanks for visiting Grammy P, Paw, Grandma B, Pops, Uncle Sean, Aunt Carolyn, Uncle Patrick, and Scott and Cindy Hay! We are looking forward to Uncle Mike and Kelsey's visit next month!

One Month: Cameron had her one month check up and is doing wonderfully. She wasn't quite up to her birth weight so we began to supplement feed with formula twice a day. Unfortunately, the formula did not agree with her tummy so we continued with just breastfeeding and she ended up gaining weight and weighed in at 9 pounds the following week.

Today: Cameron is now beginning to smile and "talk" to us. She is very strong and lifts her neck and loves to kick and play on her activity mat. She also loves bath time. We are very eager to see if she enjoys the pool as much as her bath. She grows and amazes us every day. It has been a crazy, busy, tiring, and wonderful adventure so far and we know that it is only going to get better and better as she grows. We are excited to share our new adventures with you again! More to come after our two month check up on the 25th!

39 Weeks!

Today we had a doctors appointment to check out how Miss Cameron was doing. Great news -- she is doing wonderfully! Her heart rate is perfect and she is having a good ole time wiggling around. Actually, she is having such a good time we think she is deciding to stay for a while longer. So, we hope you didn't get your hopes up, but it does appear that we will be updating this blog again next week on her due date (Tuesday, February 22). Next week we will go to the appointment and get an updated ultra sound to tell us how big she is and also how much amniotic fluid surrounds her. At that point we will also decide how many more days we want to give her before we induce labor. We can give her up to an additional 2 weeks or until she reaches 11 pounds (YIKES), but at 11 pounds they would automatically perform a C-Section. Neither of those options sound to appealing to us, so we will wait and see what our little girl decides to do between now and our next appointment on Tuesday. Here are her updated due date predictions (just for fun):

February 18th (bc he wants to come to the hospital and it has an 8 in it): Uncle Sean
February 19th: Uncle Mike and Uncle Patrick
February 20th: (Great)Aunt Paige and Great Granny Martin
February 22nd: CAMERON'S DUE DATE
February 23rd: Kelsey and Grandma P
